NorCal Robotics - Redesigned Ford F150 Lower HVAC Blend Door Cam
Purpose
The Ford F150 has a design flaw in the adjust cam (Part # FL3Z-19788-A) for the 2015 to 2023 model years, and for several other trucks and SUV's.It frequently binds up and fails to operate the mechanism that sets the air temperature selected by the operator using the dash controls.
This causes a lack of heat or cooling from the cabin vents (see Technical Bulletin link below)
"Some 2015-2019 F-150, 2017-2019 F-Super Duty vehicles may exhibit a lack of heat or cooling from the cabin vents when the climate settings are adjusted between hot and cold. This may be due to a stuck/binding temperature door within the climate control housing or binding/inoperative temperature door actuator. Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) B1081:07 may be present in the front controls interface module (FCIM)."
This redesigned part has a smoothed path for the mix door's pin to follow, and solves the problem.
It's 3D Printed using ANYCUBIC Tough Resin (SLA UV resin curing process) for durability.
